The 3-Year Price Lock lets you lock in your monthly internet rate for three years without signing a contract. You are free to change, upgrade or cancel service at any time with no early termination fees. Your price stays the same for the length of the price lock period, even if our standard rate increases.
Fiber internet is a wired connection that uses fiber-optic cables made of glass or plastic strands to transmit data as pulses of light (instead of electricity through copper lines like coax internet). This technology delivers very fast speeds, consistent performance and high reliability.
It depends on what you need from your internet connection, but for most homes, fiber internet offers more consistent performance. For a cellular connection, 5G stands for 5th generation and is generally reliable for individual cell phone use.

Wi-Fi is often used interchangeably with internet, but Wi-Fi isn’t the same as internet. The internet is the connection that brings data into your home from your internet provider. Wi-Fi is how your devices connect to that internet wirelessly inside your home.
When you select Midco internet, you have the option to add either a standard modem to provide a non-Wi-Fi connection, or a wireless modem to provide a Wi-Fi connection.
Pairing your Midco Internet with Midco Wi-Fi helps extend Wi-Fi coverage throughout your home with smart optimization, added security and easy network controls.
Multi-gig internet refers to speeds above 1 gigabit per second (Gbps). These fiber-fast speeds are ideal for busy households with many connected devices, competitive gaming, 4K streaming, large file uploads and working from home on multiple devices at once.
Internet speeds are measured in Mbps and Gbps:
- Mbps stands for megabits per second and measures how much data your connection can transfer at once. The higher the Mbps, the faster everyday online activities like streaming and browsing feel.
- Gbps, or gigabits per second, equals 1,000 Mbps and is used to describe gig and multi-gig internet speeds.
With multi-gig, you get significantly more bandwidth, which helps keep speeds fast and consistent, even when multiple people and devices are online at the same time. Availability and speeds vary by location. Enter your address to see the speeds available for your home.

The 3-Year Price Lock (“promotion”) applies solely to the monthly internet charges and remains in effect for thirty-six (36) months from the date of activation. Upon expiration, standard rates apply. The promotion excludes all other charges, including but not limited to equipment rental, installation, video services, taxes and regulatory fees, which are billed separately and may vary. Other terms and conditions may apply. Eligibility may be revoked if the customer modifies the service plan or adds services during the promotional period.
Customer is responsible for modem purchase or lease required for Midco internet. Modem lease price is $9/mo. for standard modem or $11/mo. for Midco Wi-Fi. Any non-Midco provided modem must have DOCSIS 3.1 technology. An approved modem list can be found at Midco.com/Modems. Actual internet speeds may vary based on device capacity, number of devices, web traffic, and whether using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Speeds may be impacted by third-party equipment. Offer and pricing are subject to change. Installation options vary by address, existing Midco network technology and services selected. A one-time service fee of $100 for professional installation or $15 for a self-installation kit may apply.
