November 20, 2014 - Sioux Falls, SD: Midcontinent Communications has hired Justin Forde as the director of public affairs in North Dakota. In this role, Forde is responsible for overseeing Midcontinent’s public affairs, economic development initiatives, and media and community relations activities in the state.

“We are thrilled to have Justin join our team,” said Tom Simmons, senior vice president of public policy. “His background and experience in the political arena, universities and nonprofits make him an excellent fit for this position. Justin will maintain and build on the solid relationships we’ve enjoyed throughout the state, and will serve as another resource for our customers, as well as business, education and nonprofit organizations.”

Forde was most recently the regional director for Sen. John Hoeven’s North Dakota office. Forde previously worked for the Bismarck State College Foundation as the development manager and for North Dakota State University as the assistant director of marketing.

Forde received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD, and a Master of Science degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL.
