Passwords

The Wi-Fi password management allows users to set up to 30 different passwords for a single SSID Wi-Fi network.

This means that each household member can have their own separate credentials used only for their devices and still have plenty left over for individual guests.

Guest- and internet-only passwords can also be disabled on schedule, so they can no longer be used after your guests leave.

There are three separate access levels:

Home (All Access)

Give full home Wi-Fi access to people you implicitly trust – allowing their devices to interact with all other connected devices in your home. The first password created during the initial setup is for this area.

Guest (Limited Access)

Create custom passwords for each guest and then choose which connected devices from the home area (printers, TVs, security cameras or thermostats) they can access to make them feel instantly at home.

Internet Only

Devices with internet-only Wi-Fi passwords will only be connected to the internet and not any of the connected devices in your home. Using the Midco Wi-Fi app, any password can be disabled or deleted at any time by the administrator in the event it is compromised.

  2. Choose the application you want to use to send the link (SMS, iMessage, email, airdrop, android beam, etc). Only the options available on the device will be shown.
    • The recipient will receive a time-limited link that opens a webpage containing the SSID and their password.

The following additional options are available using the three dots next to the password:

Copy: Copies the password to the device’s clipboard.

Edit: Allows to change the password, expiration and local device access.

Disable: Temporarily disables the password.

Delete: Permanently deletes the password from the network. Passwords which have been disabled will only have the Enable and Delete options available.
