501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota encouraged to apply.

July 3, 2014 - Sioux Falls, SD: The Midcontinent Foundation is currently accepting grant applications from eligible non-profit organizations in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.

The grant application deadline is Sunday, July 20, 2014.

The Midcontinent Foundation is the charitable arm of the Midcontinent family of companies; established in 1987 to provide funding assistance to charitable entities (as defined by the Internal Revenue Service) that assist in socially-desirable goals within the communities which Midcontinent Media, Inc. and its subsidiaries are a part. Organizations which serve communities within the Midcontinent service area are encouraged to apply for grants for special projects, facilities improvements, equipment, and programs (not operational costs).

“The Midcontinent Foundation distributed $90,711.00 in grants to charities in the spring of 2014 and, to date, has contributed more than $3 million to support the work of non-profit organizations within Midcontinent’s service area,” says Tom Simmons, Chairman of the Midcontinent Foundation. “The work of non-profit organizations may be priceless, but they need funds to accomplish their important missions. We strongly encourage area 501 (c) (3) organizations to visit our website and apply before the July 20 deadline.”

Eligible charities have the opportunity to apply for Midcontinent Foundation grants two times annually, in the spring and fall, when the Midcontinent Foundation Board of Directors meets to review grant applications. The grant application form is available on the company’s website at www.Midco.com.
