Midco Sports Network Wins Emmy Award

November 1, 2016 – Sioux Falls, SD: MidcoSN® earned a regional Emmy® award at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ 2016 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Awards Gala on October 29.

MidcoSN’s Tom Nieman won the Emmy for Writer – Program (Non-News) for “Nick Ellerbroek – Mini-Mascot”, a segment of the monthly Midco Sports Magazine show. The network – which broadcasts local and regional sports in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota – received five award nominations in three categories.

“This is the fourth year MidcoSN has earned Emmy awards, and we’re proud of Tom and all of our MidcoSN team for how hard they work to bring quality sports programming to the viewers in our region,” said Mark Powell, Vice President of MidcoSN. “The Mini-Mascot segment was something special, and we’re glad to see it got the attention it deserved.”
