Midco Promotes Two to Director Positions & Hires Five New Directors

Dec. 2, 2016 – Sioux Falls, SD: Midco has promoted two managers to the director level for their impactful contributions to the company. In addition, the company has hired five new directors. Each of these leaders are now part of Midco’s senior leadership team.
- Erin Johanning has been named Director of Communications. Since joining Midco in 2014, she has been involved in branding, customer and employee communications, content strategy, social media and reputation management. Johanning holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and political science from Iowa State University.
- Shauna Wimer has been promoted to Director of Advertising Sales. Since joining Midco in 2014, she has led as Regional Sales Manager for the Fargo/West Fargo/Moorhead area, responsible for managing a digital and cable TV advertising sales team. Wimer earned a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
- Patti Hawkey has been hired as Director of Talent Acquisition & Planning. She joined the company in 2016 to help attract the best talent to serve Midco customers – drawing from her 11 years of customer service experience at Midco Connections. Prior to joining Midco, Hawkey was the General Manager of Midco Connections, overseeing a team of 400 in sales, HR, IT, client support, training, project management, quality, workforce, billing and operations. Midco Connections was acquired by Lawrence & Schiller Teleservices in May this year.
- Jeff Larson is Midco’s Director of Data Center & Colocation. He uses his knowledge of IT needs and realities facing businesses large and small to provide with best technology solutions. Larson was the Director of Operations at Dataware, LLC, for more than 13 years before Midco acquired the company in 2016.
- Heather McNeive has been hired as Director of Strategic Business Sales. She will develop and execute customer acquisition strategies for enterprise, wholesale, data center and multiple dwelling units. McNieve joins Midco from Peerless Network, where she held the position of Vice President and General Manager for Wireless Solutions. Prior to that, she held various positions with Sprint for 16 years. McNieve holds an MBA from Rockhurst University and bachelor’s degrees in business, marketing and finance from the University of Iowa.
- Paige Pearson Meyer is now Midco’s Director of Public and Media Relations. Pearson Meyer will act as the company’s media liaison and public relations spokesperson. She previously worked as Communications & Recruitment Manager for DocuTAP, and as a journalist for TV stations in Sioux Falls, Green Bay and Eau Claire. Pearson Meyer earned a degree in sports broadcasting from Indiana University.
- Kendra Siemonsma has been hired as Director of Project Management Office. She has 15 years of leadership experience working as a project professional. Siemonsma directs strategic initiatives and special projects, creating purposeful change at Midco. She joined Midco after several years as Chief Projects Manager with the City of Sioux Falls. Siemonsma holds bachelor’s degrees in history and psychology from the University of South Dakota.
