March 29, 2016 – Fargo, ND: Today, North Dakota State University and Midco Sports Network® announced they have signed a three-year contract to air Bison men’s and women’s basketball games on MidcoSN® channels.
“MidcoSN is proud to partner with North Dakota State University to produce and distribute men’s and women’s basketball games, beginning with the 2016-2017 season,” said Mark Powell, Vice President of Business Development and head of MidcoSN. “As the regional leader in sports content, we feel privileged to create this partnership and bring more Bison athletics to the viewers in our region.”
The contract gives MidcoSN, which broadcasts local and regional sports in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota, the exclusive broadcast rights to men’s and women’s basketball games. This agreement gives more than 350,000 viewers across the region access to live NDSU game broadcasts. MidcoSN will also produce a coach’s show for basketball, providing game coverage, interviews and highlights to the Bison Nation throughout the region.
“We are excited to work with the NDSU Athletic Department on covering their live games from Fargo and also producing a weekly show. Combining our award-winning production talent with the success of Bison athletics supports NDSU with its own branding goals while adding value to MidcoSN," Powell said.
The agreement offers contract extension opportunities at the end of the three-year contract.
