June 17, 2022 – Hartford, SD: Midco held a groundbreaking event to celebrate its investment in bringing a new option for internet and TV services to the Hartford community.

Community members and leaders joined Midco team members in turning the first shovels of dirt to kick off the build and stayed to enjoy lunch and each other’s company. The event took place at Buffalo Ridge Brewery.

Midco is investing $3 million in private capital to bring best-in-class FTTP (Fiber-to-the-Premises) service to more than 1,800 homes and businesses in Hartford. The first customers are expected to be activated by mid-summer, with all of Hartford able to receive service by the end of the year. This network expansion will combine Midco’s blazing fast speeds (up to 5 Gbps) and low latency, with J.D. Power-awarded customer satisfaction.
