Midco Foundation Awards 96 Grants to Area Service Organizations

The Midco Foundation awarded more than $117,000 to 96 different nonprofits, schools and government organizations across the Midwest this spring. Grant recipients were recognized as positive changemakers in their 44 respective communities. These grants are part of Midco's ongoing commitment to be a force for good in the communities Midco serves.
“Midco is proud to support exceptional organizations that serve critical needs in our communities,” said Wynne Haakenstad, Executive Director of the Midco Foundation. “The Midco Foundation board meticulously reviewed applications this spring, resulting in the distribution of grants to 96 tremendous nonprofit organizations. These grants will assist a variety of community organizations in their work to help those in need.”
This spring's Midco Foundation grant recipients serve a variety of purposes in their communities, including fighting hunger, providing education and family services, supporting the arts and more.
Since its inception in 1987, the Midco Foundation has donated more than $6 million to support the work of local nonprofit organizations, schools and governments.
The Midco Foundation board approves funding requests to charitable entities twice a year and encourages nonprofit organizations to apply for future grants for special projects, facilities improvements, equipment and programs.
