Lifeline Assistance
The internet is increasingly important to our daily lives – for work, school and just staying connected. For some people, the telephone is their link to the outside world. That’s why qualifying low-income households can get affordable home phone or internet access through the federal Lifeline assistance program.
Directory Assistance Exemption
Midco provides free directory assistance calls to those with impaired vision or a qualifying disability that prevents the use of a phone book or other means of locating a telephone number.

Hearing & Speech Assistance
We provide hearing and speech support assistance to disabled customers throughout our region.
With Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS), commonly known as relay calling, operators help facilitate communication between the calling and receiving parties. Simply dial 711 from your Midco® home phone.

Kansas Disabled Veteran Tax Exemption
As of July 1, 2026, eligible disabled veterans and surviving spouses in Kansas may qualify for a sales tax exemption on Midco residential services. To apply, contact the Kansas Office of Veterans Services or call 1.800.513.7731. Visit the Kansas Department of Revenue website to check eligibility.
