No, our home phone services are available on a standalone basis.

Yes, we provide phone service to many small towns in select areas where we have fixed wireless service. Contact us to see if your area is covered.

Yes, you can choose your own long-distance provider. However, to qualify for our unlimited long distance, which is also included with our Home Phone package, you must choose Midco as your local and long-distance provider.

A Midco technician will visit your home and determine the best place to install your Midco-provided equipment. For our fixed wireless areas, our technician will work with you to find the best place to install the antenna on your property and the needed equipment inside your home. Each installation is unique, depending on your location and property.

Potential Spam Identification

Midco uses caller ID technology to help you identify potential spam callers – including robocalls and inappropriately spoofed numbers.

Midco is implementing a robust robocalling solution that uses a combination of advanced analytics, overwriting of a caller ID name and STIR/SHAKEN technology to evaluate inbound/outbound calls – and compare data with other phone carriers. While the robocall mitigation technologies cannot stop all spam calls entirely, it can help you avoid bad calls and only answer good ones.

You’ll see “Potential Spam” on your caller ID when you receive a suspected incoming robocall.

Reach out to our customer care team , so we can fix it. An inbound calling number to a Midco customer can be added to our safelist once it is verified as a friendly caller.

Jot down the number that called you and reach out to our customer care team – they’ll be able to assist you.

Currently, this technology has only been implemented in the U.S. and Canada.

It’s unlikely that this is a Midco-related issue and is instead caused by the call recipient’s phone company. As more phone carriers implement STIR/SHAKEN protocols continue to work together, we will collectively verify customer phone numbers. We recommend that you ask the person you were trying to call to contact their phone carrier – to see if they can add you to their safe caller list.

1 Lifeline service is non-transferable. Only eligible customers can enroll in the program, which is limited to one discount per household. 

2 Unlimited local and domestic long-distance calling includes the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Other locations are considered international and charged at posted per-minute calling rates. Collect calls, 900-number calls, operator-assisted calls and directory assistance are not included.
