Midcontinent Wins Its First-Ever Top Honors at the 36th Annual Telly Awards

Sioux Falls, SD: Midcontinent Communications® teams received recognition for eight sports and commercial production videos from the 36th Annual Telly Awards. These national awards showcase the best film and video productions, groundbreaking online video content, as well as outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs.
In 2015, Midcontinent received three Silver Awards – the highest Telly honor. For the first time, Midcontinent® earned Silver Awards for commercials produced for Advertising Services customers, as well as a Silver Award for one Midco Sports Network® production. Less than 10% of 12,000 annual entries receive a Silver Telly.

The following Advertising Services entries received honors:
- Silver Award for Bechtold’s Milestones commercial: Regional TV & Multi-Market Cable for Use of Animation
- Silver Award for BeMobile Be commercial: Regional TV & Multi-Market Cable for Telecommunications/Internet Service
- Bronze Award for No Glamour and Through My Eyes Volunteers of America Regain Control commercials: Regional TV & Multi-Market Cable for Campaign – Not-for-Profit
- Bronze Award for Avera Connected commercial: Regional TV & Multi-Market Cable for Use of Animation
- Bronze Award for Nyberg’s Dakota Workwear commercial: Local TV & Local Cable for Retail Store/Specialty Store
The following MidcoSN entries received honors:
- Silver Award for From the Plains to Fame: Film/Video – TV Programs, Segments or Promotional Pieces – Sports
- Bronze Award for Overcoming Obstacles: Film/Video – TV Programs, Segments or Promotional Pieces – Sports
- Bronze Award for Nate by the Numbers: Film/Video – TV Programs, Segments or Promotional Pieces – Sports
In 2015, Telly Award entrants came from all 50 states and five continents. Entries are judged on a high standard of merit by a judging panel that includes more than 500 accomplished industry professionals.
