Keep Connected with a Home Phone
When you want to make a call, Midco is there. You can keep it simple with just local calling, or get all of the phone features we offer, including unlimited, domestic long distance. Midco offers you everything you need in a home phone.
While cell phones dominate our world, a good home phone is important as well. Why get a home phone?
- Trust that there’s always a connection to call out – for babysitters, children and the elderly.
- Rest assured that 911/E911 service will have immediate access to your address – allowing for faster emergency response. This also enables a local 911 dispatcher to call you back if necessary.
Home Phone Service FAQ
No, our home phone services are available on a standalone basis.
Yes, you can choose your own long-distance provider. However, to qualify for our unlimited long distance, which is also included with our Home Phone package, you must choose Midco as your local and long-distance provider.
A Midco technician will visit your home and determine the best place to install your Midco-provided equipment. For our fixed wireless areas, our technician will work with you to find the best place to install the antenna on your property and the needed equipment inside your home. Each installation is unique, depending on your location and property.
Your telephone long distance must be set up to allow international calling. If you subscribe to Midco® long distance and cannot make an international call, your account is more than likely set up for domestic calling only. Please call us at 1.800.888.1300 to set up international calling capabilities. There is no monthly fee for this service; only your international long distance usage will be charged.

Potential Spam Identification
Midco uses caller ID technology to help you identify potential spam callers – including robocalls and inappropriately spoofed numbers.
Midco is implementing a robust robocalling solution that uses a combination of advanced analytics, overwriting of a caller ID name and STIR/SHAKEN technology to evaluate inbound/outbound calls – and compare data with other phone carriers. While the robocall mitigation technologies cannot stop all spam calls entirely, it can help you avoid bad calls and only answer good ones.
You’ll see “Potential Spam” on your caller ID when you receive a suspected incoming robocall.
Currently, this technology has only been implemented in the U.S. and Canada.
It’s unlikely that this is a Midco-related issue and is instead caused by the call recipient’s phone company. As more phone carriers implement STIR/SHAKEN protocols continue to work together, we will collectively verify customer phone numbers. We recommend that you ask the person you were trying to call to contact their phone carrier – to see if they can add you to their safe caller list.
