June 7, 2016 – Fargo, ND: Today, Midco announced that it has completed construction on its West Fargo operations center. The $3-million expansion project began in April 2015 – doubling the size of the Midco offices, which will accommodate 120 new Midco employees over five years.
The company celebrated today with an open house and ribbon cutting. Attendees included West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern, other local elected officials or their representatives, local Midco Business customers, the Fargo-Moorhead West Fargo Chamber and chamber ambassadors, community members, and Midco employees.
The updated West Fargo facility now features a new Midco Sports Network® studio, which will be used for North Dakota State University sports coverage. In April, MidcoSN® earned live broadcast rights for Bison men’s and women’s basketball games, and will also produce two coaches’ shows. The MidcoSN live production truck was also on site and available for tours at today’s open house.
“This celebration showed how invested Midco is in the Fargo metro area – and how we’re dedicated to serving the community. We have local employees delivering world-class communications services and customer support to local consumers and businesses,” says Justin Forde, Director of Public Affairs for Midco. “We’re rooted in North Dakota and plan to deepen those roots.”
The updated building also features all-new work areas for the call center, training center and warehouse – as well as other remodeled areas. The project is part of Midco’s $100 million North Dakota investment from 2014 through 2016. This year, Midco will invest $27 million in Fargo area alone. That includes Midco Gig internet, which is currently in the field testing in Fargo.
