April 4, 2017 – Fargo, ND: With a consistent commitment to advanced technology, Midco® plans to break ground on a state-of-the-art Tier III data center in Fargo, in the second quarter of 2017. The 16,000-square-foot facility (expandable to 44,000 square feet) will host, store and monitor data services for regional and local business customers. This is Midco’s third data center.
“The Fargo data center brings instant value to our customers by providing a Tier III protected facility that accesses our highly redundant and available 8,600-mile network. This data center allows colocation and interconnects with local, regional and national providers,” says Scott Smidt, VP of Business Engineering and Operations.
The data center is a cost-effective way for businesses to secure critical data and their IT infrastructure. The facility will be available for business customers who need a partial rack, single rack or multiple rack rentals. Private, customizable suites or cage space will also be available. More information on Midco’s data center services can be found at Midco.com/Business.
“This data center is unique to the region, providing advanced technology that will leverage our private network and geo-redundant data centers, protecting our customers’ critical data” says Smidt. “It’s a significant financial and infrastructure investment, but Midco is committed to providing advanced service options, like colocation and cloud services, for local and regional businesses.”
Midco’s data centers are locally and wholly owned, providing easy and secure access to clients. The Fargo data center is expected to be completed and operational in 2018. Midco’s two other data centers are in Sioux Falls, SD, and Yankton, SD.
