Midco Foundation Awards 58 Grants to Area Service Organizations

November 21, 2022 – Sioux Falls, SD: The Midco Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 to 58 nonprofits, schools and government organizations across the Midwest. These grant recipients have been recognized as positive changemakers in their 29 respective communities. The grants are part of an ongoing commitment to be a force for good in the communities Midco serves.

“Midco is committed to strengthening the communities we serve by supporting incredible organizations that serve them,” said Wynne Haakenstad, Executive Director of the Midco Foundation.

“With great care, our foundation board reviewed exceptional applications this fall, resulting in financial assistance to 58 worthy organizations. We are truly thankful for the variety of programs they provide to be a force for good to those in need.”

Since its inception in 1987, the Midco Foundation has donated more than $5 million to support the work of non-profit organizations, local governments and schools. Midco Foundation recipients provide a variety of programs in their communities, including fighting food insecurity, supporting arts, music, education and family services.

The Midco Foundation board reviews and approves funding requests to charitable entities twice a year and encourages nonprofit organizations to apply for future grants for special projects, facilities improvements, equipment and programs.
