Midco Partners with Bridging the Gap Community Fund

Makes $50,000 Gift to Leaders of Tomorrow Program

Sioux Falls, SD – Midco is meeting the moment with a $50,000 gift to the newly established Bridging the Gap Community Fund. The Fund is a resource for people looking to take direct action in creating a more inclusive and united front in the mission of developing community leaders for the next generation.

The Bridging the Gap Community Fund will focus on leadership through its Leaders of Tomorrow program. Leaders of Tomorrow is specifically designed to give young people the tools, skills, relationships and confidence to lead effectively and positively in their communities.

“Midco is proud to support the Bridging the Gap Community Fund and to be a sponsor for its Leaders of Tomorrow program,” said Midco President & CEO Pat McAdaragh. “The work of building a better community and society starts with developing tomorrow’s leaders. This grassroots effort ensures that young, emerging leaders will have access to skills and resources that will help them lead the city’s diverse population.”

“This is not a management skills program. It’s a leadership skills program. We’re here to help develop the individual. A better you is better for everyone,” said Vaney Hariri, program creator and Think 3D Solutions co-founder. “If we truly want people to upwardly mobilize, we have to teach them to learn and then teach them to teach.”

The program has set a goal of producing 500 leaders by 2025. The upcoming 12-week program begins this fall and will include 25 future leaders.
