Janesville Approves Midco Franchise Agreement

December 4, 2025 – Janesville, MN: Midco is proud to announce plans for the expansion of fiber internet, cable television and phone services in Janesville following the city’s approval of a cable franchise agreement for Midco.

Midco.com/Hello details the Midco fiber installation process that Janesville residents will see in 2026: 

  • Step 1: Marking. Safety first! Before digging begins, we prioritize safety by working with local authorities to flag and spray paint underground utilities.  
  • Step 2: Prepping. Protecting your property. Our construction teams set fiber-optic access points at public easements to minimize disruptions to your property.  
  • Step 3: Laying. Precise placement. Guided by markings, we carefully expose underground utilities and install conduits for the fiber cables.  
  • Step 4: Restoring. Tidying your space. After construction, we remove all markers and restore your lawn.  
  • Step 5: Installing. Flexible scheduling. Set up an appointment at your convenience, and our technicians will arrive on time.
