Midco Foundation Announces $144,000 in Fall 2025 Grants
- Date: 12/02/25
December 2, 2025 – Sioux Falls, SD: As part of an ongoing commitment to being a force for good in the communities it serves, Midco has awarded 89 nonprofits, schools and local government organizations with Midco Foundation grants.
The organizations, which span 44 communities in Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, represent the very best of the communities Midco serves. In total, the Midco Foundation awarded more than $144,000 in grant money during this semiannual round of giving.
“The Foundation board, comprised of volunteer Midco team members, was honored to read this round of applications and select these very deserving nonprofits for awards,” said Rhonda Erickson, Senior Community Relations Manager & Midco Foundation Executive Director. “In addition to supporting these 89 organizations financially, many of our team members give their time through Midco’s paid volunteer program or donate themselves and double their impact through Midco’s gift matching program. Our force for good ethos is at the core of who we are as a team.”
The Foundation board reviews and approves funding requests to charitable entities twice a year. Since 1988, the Foundation has awarded more than $6 million to causes within its service area. Some themes from this round of giving include support for:
- Food banks and shelters during a time of increased need and higher grocery costs
- Emergency services, including six grants to local fire departments and first responders
- Educational and after school initiatives
- Nonprofits supporting seniors with meal assistance and quality of life programs
The Midco Foundation encourages nonprofit organizations in the communities it serves to apply for future grants for special projects, facilities improvements, equipment and programs.
