- Date: 5/05/25
May 5, 2025 – Sioux Falls, SD: Gigabit internet speeds aren’t just for downloads anymore.
Starting May 5, Midco is bringing multi-gigabit and symmetrical internet speeds to homes and businesses across the region. This upgrade to Midco’s best-in-class network provides customers access to symmetrical 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) upload and download plans. Customers wanting additional download speeds will have access to a 2 Gbps download/1 Gbps upload package.
“Minimum download and upload speeds of one Gbps allow our customers to work, stream, game, communicate and entertain with ease,” said Midco President and Chief Operating Officer Ben Dold. “Thanks to these investments in our network, Midco customers can operate more devices with more reliability – all at incredible multi-gigabit speeds powered by fiber.”
This milestone follows Midco’s $500 million Fiber Forward investment, an expansive commitment that uses the company’s robust fiber network and next gen fiber tech to bring 10 gigabit speeds to the region.
