May 21, 2025 – Jamestown, ND: On Saturday, May 31 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Meidinger Park Field, Midco will sponsor a free hot dog meal for the public at the Jamestown Kite Festival, with proceeds from the sponsorship benefitting the James River Figure Skating Club. Members of the club will be at the park to help Midco serve the meal and raise awareness about how the club helps area families.

“This event sponsorship means a lot to our club,” said Nikki Steckler, a parent on the James River Figure Skating Club fundraising committee. “We help with this fun event in our wonderful community and help grow our name in the community as well. As a non-profit organization, fundraising is what helps make our growing club successful. We would love to make skating accessible to all families. We greatly appreciate this opportunity that Midco has provided for our club!”

Midco is proud to support the 31st annual Jamestown Kite Festival, a regional event that gathers kite enthusiasts from across the country and Canada.

“We loved it so much last year that we wanted to come back,” said Midco Senior Community Relations Manager and Midco Foundation Executive Director Rhonda Erickson. “At Midco we believe in being a force for good in every community that we serve, and the Kite Festival is a special event that helps us support the people of Jamestown by bringing the community together.”

Midco will also give away an outdoor movie projector, which festival attendees can win without being present when the winning name is called.

“We love working with the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department who do a fantastic job organizing the Kite Festival,” Erickson said. “If you live in the area and haven’t been to it before, I encourage you to bring your friends and family to experience this truly unique event.”
