Harmonic’s cOS Platform Supports DOCSIS and Fiber, Enabling Midco to Deliver Reliable Multigigabit Connectivity to Subscribers
Sept. 10, 2025 — Sioux Falls, SD: Today, Midco announced the selection of Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT) to modernize its network and deliver reliable multigigabit connectivity to subscribers through its industry-leading cOS™ virtualized broadband platform. Harmonic's solution provides Midco with a robust network foundation to support DOCSIS and fiber services, powering the operator’s $500 million Fiber Forward investment, an expansive commitment that leverages the company’s robust fiber network and next-gen fiber technology to bring 10 gigabit speeds to the region.

Midco is deploying Harmonic’s cOS broadband platform in a distributed access architecture (DAA) with Pebble Remote PHY Devices and Ripple modular DAA nodes. The Ripple nodes provide Midco with a flexible solution that opens a range of options for fiber service delivery. The comprehensive Harmonic solution provides Midco with a common platform for DOCSIS and fiber services while minimizing hardware and power requirements, significantly reducing expenses.
Featuring advanced telemetry, Harmonic’s AI-powered cOS Central will automate workflows for Midco and offer real-time network visibility for proactive resolution of network issues. This will ensure a consistent, reliable and high-quality broadband experience for Midco subscribers.
