Equipment Direct Shipping
After you place your Midco SmartHOME™ order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We'll also ship your equipment directly to your door, so it arrives prior to your home security system installation.
If you want the equipment shipped to a different address than the installation address, mention this to Midco when you order your equipment, or contact us at 1.800.888.1300 as soon as possible.
Once it arrives, please put the package in a safe place and leave it unopened. Do not try to turn on any equipment or install it yourself. This could cause issues at your scheduled installation – possibly resulting in your installation taking longer than expected.
Your Midco SmartHOME system is designed to accommodate pets. For example, our motion sensor can avoid detecting pets up to 85 pounds, so you can avoid false alarms. Midco technicians know how to customize your home security sytem to fit your specific needs.
Even if you rent your home or apartment, you can still install our home security system. But be sure to complete the Landlord Permission Form before your install date. There are some restrictions on equipment if you’re renting, including no outdoor cameras or smart door locks in apartment complexes.
Midco SmartHOME is a UL-certified monitoring system, which means you may be eligible for a homeowner’s insurance discount. Check with your insurance agent to see if you qualify for a discount, and submit the homeowner’s insurance discount certificate to your agent.

Midco SmartHOME is not available in all areas. Certain equipment may be limited by local ordinance or dwelling. Midco SmartHOME requires Midco Internet 50 service or higher. The Midco SmartHOME app and Subscriber Portal are not accessible from all countries outside of the United States. Customer is liable for damaged or stolen equipment, and for false alarms. False alarm ordinances may apply. Contact your local municipality for more information. Some municipal ordinances may restrict smoke alarm installation. Cellular signal strength may affect system performance. Service is provided under Terms and Conditions at Midco.com/Legal.
