- Date: 6/08/17
June 8, 2017 – Rapid City, SD: Midco and the Rushmore Bowl Committee announced a three-year agreement to name the annual football bowl game the Midco Rushmore Bowl.
The bowl game celebrates its 25th year in 2017, and Midco has been a valued partner since 2004. Rapid City Central High School and Rapid City Stevens High School are the featured schools, and the bowl game started as a fundraiser for the booster clubs.
“We’re proud to say that the Midco Rushmore Bowl now benefits more than 80 activities between the two schools. From marching band to tennis, these funds enrich the students’ lives and provide a sense of community to the schools,” said Midco Rushmore Bowl Committee member Jodi Goettle.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Rushmore Bowl Committee and so excited for the Midco Rushmore Bowl in early September. It will be a night full of festivities and the perfect event to kick off the school year,” said Midco’s Director of Public and Media Relations Paige Pearson Meyer.
The Midco Rushmore Bowl is slated for Friday, September 1 at O’Harra Memorial Stadium on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology. O’Harra Memorial Stadium is currently undergoing a significant renovation that should be completed by the bowl game.
