Midco is a Force for Good in Minot

August 4, 2023 – Minot, ND: Project BEE has been awarded a Midco Foundation grant to support their Emergency Shelter program, which helps families in need secure resources, jobs and permanent housing. Midco Foundation grants are awarded to positive changemakers, as part of Midco’s deep commitment to being a force for good in the communities it serves.
“Midco is proud to be able to support organizations like Project BEE,” said Wynne Haakenstad, Executive Director of the Midco Foundation. “Their services align beautifully with Midco’s commitment to help strengthen our communities and ignite inspiration and innovation.”
As an integral part of the Minot community, Midco is dedicated to championing causes that matter most to its team members and customers. Over 2,000 community members enjoyed Midco Free Day at the Roosevelt Park Zoo. Midco is proud to sponsor the Souris Valley United Way, the Trinity Health Brick Fundraiser, Minot Air Force Base Spooky Thon and seating at the Minot State Dome. The company also sponsors public service announcements benefitting the Trinity Health Foundation, the Children’s Museum of Minot, Minot Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Plains Children’s Advocacy Center. Midco team members enjoy participating at events like the Women Building Hope Golf Tournament and volunteering for the Backpack Buddies program and the Minot Citywide Cleanup event. Midco also partners with the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce and Minot Area Development Corporation.
The Midco Foundation Board reviews and approves funding requests twice a year. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for future grants to support special projects, facility improvements, equipment and programs. Review the eligibility criteria, requirements and application at midco.com/foundation. Applications for the fall 2023 grant cycle will be accepted from June 1 to August 24.
