Midco is a Force for Good in Lawrence

As part of its deep commitment to being a force for good in the communities it serves, the Midco Foundation has awarded grants to six Lawrence organizations. The Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters Serving Douglas County, Lawrence Kansas Juneteenth Organization, Lawrence River City Cosmopolitan Club, Mid-America Performing Arts Alliance and Ready for Good Co. have been selected as grant recipients because they are positive changemakers in the Lawrence community.

“Midco is proud to be able to support organizations like these,” said Wynne Haakenstad, Executive Director of the Midco Foundation. “Their services and projects align beautifully with Midco’s commitment to help strengthen our communities and ignite inspiration and innovation.”
As an integral part of the Lawrence community, Midco is dedicated to championing causes that matter most to its team members and customers. Midco is proud to sponsor the Boys and Girls Club, Cottonwood Saluté, Douglas County United Way, Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters, Lawrence Public Library, Lawrence Sand Trap Classic, Lied Center, Juneteenth Celebration, the University of Kansas Athletics and the Bert Nash Mental Health Breakfast. Midco also partners with the Lawrence Chamber and is proud to support the Lawrence Chamber Annual Dinner, Schmooza Palooza and Leadership Lawrence.

The Midco Foundation Board reviews and approves funding requests twice a year. Nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for future grants to support special projects, facility improvements, equipment and programs. Review the eligibility criteria, requirements and application at midco.com/foundation. Applications for the fall 2023 grant cycle will be accepted from June 1 to August 24.
