Thurston Named to Prairie Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40

December 1, 2017 – Sioux Falls, SD: Jeannie Thurston, Midco’s Director of Creative Services, has been named one of Prairie Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40. Every December, the magazine publishes its list of the region’s top 40 professionals under the age of 40 who boast impressive careers and community involvement.
Thurston has been a valuable Midco employee for 14 years, starting as a call center representative and manager focused on delivering a great customer experience. She’s spent the last eight years as a Midco marketing leader, establishing and following through on the company’s brand vision. Her creative team has grown from one graphic designer to multiple professionals, including designers, motion graphics producers, a video production coordinator and a marketing coordinator.
“Jeannie is a great example of Midco’s dedication to helping our own employees advance and progress in their careers. She is an ambitious, focused and imaginative leader who continues to learn each day. She’s dedicated to her team, to Midco and to her community. I couldn’t be prouder to see her receive this well-deserved recognition,” said Trish McCann, Chief Marketing Officer.
Known for her passion, Thurston pushes herself and her colleagues to think bigger, work more efficiently and truly advocate for customers. She is also quick to mentor others, helping to advance and develop her team members.
Thurston is a graduate of the Leadership Sioux Falls program and the Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Rising Leader program. She’s currently working toward her master’s degree in digital advertising. Thurston is also a WICT Midwest board member and membership chair.
Thurston will be honored at the Prairie Business’s 40 Under 40 event in the spring.
