Midco on the Road 2023
Midco President Tom McAdaragh, COO Ben Dold and other Midco leaders hit the road this year to spend time with team members who live and work in a number of the communities we serve. Take a look at some of their favorite moments of the trip.
Week 1 – Bismarck, Fargo, Grand Forks and Minot
We traveled around North Dakota in the first leg of a trip across our footprint to visit with our amazing Midco team members. We had a great time getting to know more of our Field Ops, Construction, Field Engineering and Supply Chain teams. There were lots of laughs and fun stories to hear about how Midco strives to be a force for good in the communities we serve.
Highlights included recognition of our compliment of the month winners, numerous anniversaries and certifications, and many ‘thank yous’ to the folks that show up every day for our customers and each other. And of course, the fried pickles in Grand Forks were pretty great too.
Week 2 – Aberdeen, Pierre, Rapid City and Spearfish
It was a busy week as we continued our end-of-summer tour and traveled to Rapid City, Spearfish, Pierre and Aberdeen.
We kicked off the week by celebrating our Fiber Forward investment in the Black Hills region. We shared a lot of laughs, donuts, coffee and ideas on how to continue to innovate for our customers and inspire our communities.
Everywhere we went, we saw firsthand the value of teamwork and how our team members work to be a force for good. The hospitality of our teams was humbling, as was the expertise on display. We look forward to the next trip and, of course, more donuts! 😋
Week 3 – Mitchell, Sioux Falls, Watertown and Yankton
While the distance traveled may have been less than previous trips, the energy and enthusiasm we encountered was just as great. We celebrated a birthday and numerous team member milestone anniversaries with the company. Plus, we were able to connect with the people who show up every day – rain or shine – to deliver a great customer experience.
A highlight was hearing about the planned community involvement events for Midco Giving Days in September, which will have a meaningful impact on the lives of many in the communities we serve.
Week 4 – Cambridge, Fairmont, Isanti, St. Joseph and Wyoming
We toured new facilities, celebrated the accomplishments of local team members and again came away with a tremendous sense of pride for the passion these teams display for our customers, communities and one another.
We saw glimpses of fall colors on the trees and enjoyed the engagement and camaraderie along the way.
Week 5 - Lawrence
Rock Chalk! The team shared progress on Fiber Forward upgrades, celebrated customer compliments and recognized career progression milestones. Tom and Ben provided updates on company successes and shared their appreciation for the tireless efforts of our local teams to take great care of our valuable customers.
Ben, Tom and the other Midco leaders want to say thank you and share a message of gratitude to all the team members and communities they visited.
Throughout the tour they’ve heard amazing stories of team members going above and beyond for our customers and our communities. We'll see you out on the road next year!
